Igor Mikoda born April 16, 1982 in Lubartów. In 1997, he enrolled at the School of Fine Arts in Lublin. In 2002 he obtained a woodcarving diploma. In the years 2002-2008 studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Poznań – Faculty of Sculpture and Spatial Activities, in the studio of prof. J. Petruk, then prof. W. Koronowski. In 2008 obtained a diploma in the field of sculpture and drawing in the 1st Sculpture Studio of prof. J.Petruk and the 1st Drawing Studio of prof. J. Strzelecki. In 2013, obtained a doctor degree in arts in the field of fine arts in the artistic discipline – fine arts; in 2020, the title of habilitated doctor. Works as a University Professor at the University of Arts / Faculty of Sculpture / University of Arts in Poznań and at a Graphic Arts Department at Collegium da Vinci in Poznań. 2008 – 2020 head of the Igor Mikoda _ (born April 16, 1982, in Lubartów) is a Polish artist specializing in sculpture, graphic design, drawing, and graphic arts. Igor Mikoda’s work encompasses a broad spectrum of artistic forms, from figurative and realistic sculptures to complex spatial installations. His works are often spatial hybrids that integrate various techniques and materials, showcasing creative freedom and the flexibility of matter. He explores contemporary digital techniques such as 3D modeling, virtual reality (VR), and augmented reality (AR), experimenting with new forms of artistic expression. He describes his style as mystical realism, drawing inspiration from the works of surrealists and symbolists. The themes of his works are derived from mythology, folk legends, as well as fantasy and science fiction literature. His works often reference these richly imaginative and symbolic sources, creating unique compositions that blend elements of reality with fantastical visions. He is the author of over 30 solo exhibitions and has participated in numerous group exhibitions in Poland and abroad, including in Germany, Belgium, Switzerland, and Norway.
